Beaded Alice in Wonderland – Japanese / Extra Small Size

This Japanese styled character was the most complex one I had ever done so far. (Obviously made harder by the fact I don’t speak Korean!). The 5 hours it took me were spread on 3-4 days. I had to take several breaks to keep my sanity! But hey I got there in the end.

Beaded Pen – Japanese / Extra Small Size

A very easy little pen to make. You don’t need to know Korean to understand the pattern.

Beaded Peacock (2) – Japanese / Extra Small Size

Cute, isn’t it? The pattern looks a bit complex at first for beginners but once you’ve started, it actually makes more sense.

Beaded Panda – Japanese / Extra Small Size

Just like the raccoon, this panda is not quite built on the usual Japanese style pattern but it’s got its roundness. “Beaded Miniature Menagerie” offers a good alternative for the ones who struggle with regular Japanese patterns.

Beaded Raccoon – Japanese / Extra Small Size

This is actually not quite a Japanese style sculpture but looks a lot like one. The book “Beaded Miniature Menagerie” has its own building technique. That Racoon was really easy to build. It is also perfect as keyring.

Beaded Pig – Japanese / Extra Small Size

A cute little pig. It is relatively easy to make once you’re a bit used to Japanese style patterns. I love its rounded shape, it reminds me of a cartoon pig.

Beaded Purse – Japanese / Small Size

I love this little purse. It can open and close as showing on the pictures. You can fit a ring or a coin in it. The pattern comes from a Korean site. It sounds a bit tricky at first but once you have a look at the pattern, it is actually very easy to understand as it’s very repetitive.

Beaded Fish – Japanese / Small Size

Although the pattern’s got a 3D shape, I had to make this one flat. The 4mm copper wire I was using was too big for the 2nd layer. I couldn’t fit it 4 times in the same bead for the tail which is a shame. However it still does the trick as a flat sculpture, that’s why I kept it.

Beaded Bird – Japanese / Extra Small Size

My very first Japanese style animal. It went alright until I realised at the end of it that I missed a bead on the right side of the head. It was unfortunately too late. So here is a bird which seems to have taken a blow. Poor thing.
