Clay Cat On Window Sill – Small Size

This little cat on the window attracted my eye, I liked the perspective trick. There was no explanation on how to build it so I used guess work to reproduce what I was seeing. In the book, the cat looks through a blank window. I tried to come up with something a bit more interesting even if it looks a bit childish / basic.

Clay Jaws – Medium Size

My boyfriend and I wanted to work together on a nice project. Sculpting a key scene from a movie seemed like a fun idea. We had just watched “Jaws” a few days before and it felt like the perfect choice. We looked online and found out a few sculptures actually already existed. So we just made our own version.

Clay Princess Duck – Small Size

This is typically the example of a sculpture that started as something and ended up as something completely different. It was actually supposed to be a peacock at first and wasn’t meant to look as girly and childlike. When I saw it was the direction it was taking, I just let it be.

Clay Seahorse – Small Size

The pearly beads work quite nicely on that one. The sculpture is still very basic but it does have a certain level of detail. That prevents it to look a bit too childish.

Clay Siam Fish – Small Size

My very first sculpture in polymer clay. I did some research first and found all those lovely books by Christi Friesen. They show you how to make beautiful sculptures with all sort of different materials. Very useful.
